Inspirational Lecture
In this week's design lecture, Lance Rake spoke to us about the importance of being able to sketch as a designer. I've never had a lot of experience with sketching and drawing and I honestly didn't expect for it to be so important to my major of photomedia. After this first project, I was feeling pretty discouraged about my drawing abilities. I went through way too many pages out of my sketch book trying to get the perfect sketch of my designed object and never quite succeeded. Professor Rake told our class that sketching is just like any other skill. Practice makes perfect. This inspired me to not give up on my mediocre sketching skills quite yet.
